Website Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 19, 2026
OpenCareSeniors.com (“OpenCare”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to making our websites and online tools accessible and usable for the widest possible audience, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice recognition software, and switch devices.
We believe that everyone should be able to explore insurance options, request quotes, and apply for coverage with as few barriers as possible.
1. Our Accessibility Commitment
Our goal is to provide an experience that is as inclusive as reasonably possible for visitors of all ages and abilities. We are actively working to improve the accessibility and usability of our websites and online forms, and to support assistive technologies used by many of our visitors.
Because our sites and tools are updated regularly—for example, when we add new quote forms, calculators, or educational content—accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project.
2. Accessibility Standards & Guidelines
We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Our current target is:
- WCAG 2.2 – Level AA
These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines also improves usability for everyone.
While we aim for WCAG 2.2 Level AA on a substantial portion of our content and key user flows, not every page or feature may yet be fully compliant. We are prioritizing accessibility improvements for high-traffic and high-impact areas (for example, quote forms and application flows) and then extending those improvements across the rest of our sites.
3. Steps We Take to Support Accessibility
To support accessibility, we have taken and continue to take steps such as:
- Using semantic HTML where possible (headings, lists, labels, landmarks such as header, nav, main, and footer)
- Providing text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images and icons
- Ensuring that forms include properly associated labels, descriptions, and error messages
- Working to make our navigation and interactive controls usable with a keyboard alone
- Maintaining visible focus indicators so users can see where they are on the page
- Improving color contrast between text and backgrounds to support readability
- Designing responsive layouts that work on a variety of screen sizes and zoom levels
- Testing with automated accessibility tools and making manual improvements based on the results
- Including accessibility considerations in the design and development of new pages, forms, and tools
Accessibility testing is integrated into our ongoing design and development process. As we introduce new experiences or update existing ones, we aim to build accessibility into the foundation rather than layering it on afterward.
4. Supported Browsers & Assistive Technologies
Our sites are intended to work with:
- Current versions of major browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge
- Built-in accessibility features of common operating systems and browsers
- Popular screen reader and assistive technology combinations (for example, screen readers with current browser versions)
Older browsers or very outdated operating systems may not support all accessibility features or may display content differently. We recommend keeping your browser and assistive technology up-to-date for the best experience.
5. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts to adhere to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, some content or features may still have accessibility issues. For example:
- Certain third-party tools or widgets embedded on our site may not fully meet the same accessibility standards, even when we configure them as carefully as we can.
- Some older pages or rarely used flows may not yet have been fully updated to our current accessibility guidelines.
We are continuously working to identify and address such limitations. If you encounter an issue not mentioned here, we encourage you to let us know so we can investigate and work on a solution.
6. Feedback & Reporting an Accessibility Issue
We welcome your feedback. If you experience difficulty accessing any part of our websites, quote tools, forms, or documents, or if you have suggestions for improvement, please contact us.
When possible, include:
- The page or feature where you experienced a problem (URL or page title)
- A brief description of the issue
- The browser and assistive technology you were using (if applicable)
